Link equity
The ranking value passed from one page to another through a dofollow link — informally called "link juice".
Link equity is the SEO value that flows through a dofollow link from the source page to the destination. It is influenced by the linking page's authority, its relevance, the number of other links on the page, and the link's placement.
Because equity is shared across all the links on a page, a link from a focused, authoritative page passes more value than one buried among hundreds of outbound links. Concentrating on relevant, high-authority sources is how you maximise the equity you receive.
