Alternative.tools is a curated, independent directory. Every submission is reviewed against the standards below before publication, so that a listing reflects a genuine, high-quality product.
Genuine value
The product solves a real problem for real users, with substance beyond marketing copy.
Live and functional
The product must be online and fully working at the time of review.
Original, not AI slop
We do not accept low-effort, mass-generated pages that lack genuine substance.
Review process
Submission
You provide your product details, select a plan, and describe what it does and who it serves.
Review
Each submission is assessed — by AI and a human — for quality, accuracy, functionality, and safety against these standards.
Decision
Approved listings are published with a permanent dofollow backlink. Non-compliant submissions are declined.
What we accept
- Products, tools, websites, and services that solve a genuine problem.
- Websites that are live and reachable, and function correctly at review time.
- Clear, accurate descriptions, including honest pricing and positioning.
- Original products you own or are authorized to submit.
- Legitimate, safe businesses across SaaS, AI, developer tools, e-commerce, and related categories.
What we do not accept
- AI slop — low-effort or mass-generated content lacking genuine substance.
- Thin, incomplete, broken, or parked sites, or products that are not yet online.
- Spam, link schemes, scams, malware, or misleading and deceptive claims.
- Duplicate or re-posted listings, or content that infringes third-party rights.
- Anything falling within a prohibited category (listed below).
Our rights
Alternative.tools reviews every submission and reserves the right to reject or remove any listing at our discretion, with or without notice, if it does not meet these guidelines. For free listings, the required badge with a dofollow link back to us must stay on your site permanently — if the badge is removed, the listing may be unpublished. Submitting does not guarantee a listing, and payment does not guarantee approval; genuinely non-compliant paid submissions may be rejected and refunded.
